I really don't know what version of FF your using, but I would try a reinstall.
Frankly, I use r3dfox otherwise known as "Redfox", works on vista and above and also has less telemetry.

Reductio ad absurdum: After at least thirty-six hours of creating a new password using Edge, I restarted the computer. When the process ended, I opened Edge, typed in "I forgot my WalMart Password," which brought up the same text as previous attempts, accompanied by the same absurd text as every one of my earlier attempt, a statement that the session had expired and I should try again.

That is as "useful" as the text that tells you to go to the lost password entry on the web page, an entry I have not been able to find.

Might be, thanks, I shall waitr to see if my email to the CEO works as I expect it to. I used that tehnique to grt Vrtizon to stop stalling and send me a replacement phone very close to the thirty-day period for return of newly purchaed phones. Ironially, while they had received the UPS shipment in time, as they were preparing to ship the replacement they lost the rreturned phone and had to buy it from themselves to adjust the paperwork.

Given how I worded my email to Walmart, I would not be surprised to get a phone call or email from the customer support team.

However, I don't see anything confusing n my message, wherein I thanked you for the link and stated that I had already contacted the CEO for assistance, and therefore I was going to wait to see if that produced any replies. Are you entering the username and password in manually or is Firefox filling those in for you?

Have tried to:

Export bookmarks
Uninstall Firefox
Delete the profile
Reinstall Firefox
Import bookmarks

BTW, I use Firefox 99% of the time even with Walmart.

I ran into a similar situation with Barnes and Noble trying to leave a book review but the link to add a review did not show up on the page. I ended up chatting with them and they said go to the web page showing the book and the link is there. I said I am there and the link is not. At that moment I thought of the Ghostery ad on I use to remove adds from web pages and looked to see if turning it off for Barnes and Noble would reveal it and sure enough, the link then was visible after turning it off for the B&N web site. Are you using a pop-up stopper of some sort?

Just removing cookies does not remove the cache of site information.
Drive:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profilename
You can delete everything in there as it will be recreated when you start Firefox.

Neither: When I place the cursor on the sign-in location, the screen flashes once, and I never see the sign-on text. The only time I have seen it was when I created the account to take advantage of the price and free shopping.It does not matter if I try to log on using Firefox, Edge,nor Chrome, I get the same failure..

Walmart had the best price on a MX Master 3S mouse, which I wanted my wife to have to use with the Dell XPS desktop computer, a major step up from the ancient Dell she had been using, and which seemed to have crashed for the last time, which happily did not occur while I was using LapLink to transfer her rather simple set up. The mouse was delivered Friday as scheduled, and this morning's email had a Walmart message that the mouse will be delivered tomorrow.

Yes, I am, but only for Firefox, and as i have written elsewhere in this thread, the failure to log on is not limited to Firefox the same action is also present when trying to log on with both Edge and Chrome.
