Re-purposing old PCs is the most sensible approach. Considering how buggy Co-Pilot and other AI apps are with Win 11 and the fact that it is possible to accomplish much without them there really is no good reason to spend on expensive new hardware in these hard economic times.

I checked the price of the memory I bought for my new computer (2x16GB). The price has doubled, or slightly more, to €458.

I saw on the internet that memory manufacturers are focusing on HBS and DDR5 memory for AI, so the price of other memory is increasing significantly. That said, my DDR5 memory has doubled in price.
