Here's an error I've never seen before. Brand new laptop, just getting stuff setup. It has Windows home, currently at 23H2, it was attempting to install 24H2 and I got this screen. Yes, I'm running with an Admin account and no Microsoft Account.

I think I got around it by running DISM and SFC to clean up the component store, then I rebooted a couple of times and a couple of different updates showed up and are installing. I'll see if that breaks the logjam, never saw that error before, so it was a bit of a surprise. :-)

So, the problem evaporated after running sfc and cleaning the junk?

So it would seem. It's been updating a bunch of stuff, but I haven't seen 24H2 come back for installation. I am letting it just install it's stuff the way it wants, as long as I don't get another error.
