Solved What Extensions are you using

I only use Adblock on Edge & Mozzila (FF) ..............

Firefox. My preferred adblocker is ublock origin. Similar extensions for Edge.

Thanks, I have that now on Firefox with MBG, still undecided about this machine as it's my best one

Only Dark Reader

Google Chrome 96. I try to use as few extensions as possible.
Adblock Plus is switched on for most websites, with exception of Google, Microsoft and some media which specifically ask to enable ad for their support and never abuse it.
Browsec VPN allows to access otherwise unavailable media, mostly used countries are UK, then Netherlands, rarely US (when need to visit some online stores). Limitation: no support of IPv6.
Free Avira Phantom VPN is an alternative VPN with some other countries, it'ss disabled when the Browsec works to prevent a conflict. It supports IPv6.

I won't list all the extensions that I use, but if you're a heavy tab user, then you'll wonder how you ever lived without OneTab once you start using it.

I have malwarebytes also works well

NextDNS + filters + CookieAutoDelete (cleans caches).

I have found one which seems to work really well Adblocker Ultimate, it seems to remove the placeholders as well. Not too many settings as with that it is easy to set them wrong as some have very vague explanations

I am still trying it out, but it seems to doing the job and certainly doing better than my old one

Tabs Outliner for me because even if the browser crashes, I can reopen all the tabs in each window and also Marvelous Suspender (which is based on the clean copy of Great Suspender) to auto suspend tabs that works better than both Chrome/IE's internal one. I use other ones as well like the restoring of the Backspace key and also other ones that allows pasting and copying in protected sites.

I use the technique called 'Browser Compartmentalization'.

This is basically to use a browser for specific activity. I use as follows:

1. Browser 1: For my email and cloud accounts.
2. Browser 2: For my social media accounts.
3. Browser 3: For my online shopping accounts.
4. Browser 4: For my browsing needs.
5. Browser 5: For miscellaneous needs.

I do use HTTPS only and Disconnect in Browser 4.

Pop-Up Blocker Strict
