Although I don't play video games often, I was thinking maybe I should look at buying one or two. I like flight games, but the few I've looked at don't seem to give any training on how to fly the plane and are really fast. I'd be okay with something from WW I just to get used to the controls.

I just installed (again), Baldur's Gate II EE from GOG.
Ofc, I know all the cheat codes, etc.

So... all my characters use two of these swords... (this sword was used by the game creators for debugging)

I also replaced the standard character portraits, with much better looking ones. :-)

Hehhe, I played the original BG II as solo player multiple times, meaning I never joined any party even for a moment. Was very weak in the beginning but became a GOD in the end. Was completely unstoppable.

I like being unstoppable at the start. :D
I have them all on CDs too. And back in the day I played them all... straight.
After a while though... the "grinding for dollars" gets to be a pain.

I have all the Baldur's Gates and all the Icewind Dales.
And... Planescape Torment and Divine Divinity (the only good Divinity game).

And because they're all GOG... they just install and work. :cool:
Everything except Divine Divinity, has a character editor.
For BG1 and IWD1... I also have the codes for all the "best normal stuff".

The Killsword works in BGII EE and Planescape Torment EE
In Icewind Dale 2... the gear used by the testers is the Armageddon Blade and Armageddon Chainmail.

For Divine Divinity there's an item editor... so in that game I just made my own debugging gear.

Divine Divinity... (I think you have to play this... solo)
And, as per usual, I have my character running around kicking butt in her underwear. :D

In all the other Divinity games you either have to have a cohort, or the worlds aren't... open.

I can simply say that I took the red pill and I am not happy with it.
Currently playing KCD2, Hands down my game of the year so far! i know its early but it ticks all the boxes! Gonna go back and play BG3 again once the final updates out, Arguably the best of the bunch!

A Plague Tale: Innocence and A Plague Tale: Requiem really got me, it was so immerse, I could not pull out, till I finished it.
The last game that hit me so much was Silence. Basically, the resistance is futile, no matter what you, you will always lose.

I'm currently playing Compiling Shaders: The Game... I mean, Silent Hill 2: Remastered.

The atmosphere is spot on. Like the original, as far as I can remember of the original, that is, it's a linear affair with little enemy variety, dead ends, and lots of inaccessible doors, but I still find myself nervously excited to see what's around the next corner. I'm honestly having a good time with this one.

On a side note. I've found that temporarily disabling Windows Defender real-time protection speeds up the aforementioned shader compiling.

The BG games have their save files in the.... C:\Users\account name\Documents ...folder.


In the C:\Users\account name\Documents\Baldur's Gate II - Enhanced Edition ...folder, there is a portraits folder
And there's another portraits folder in the "save" folder.

I put the pics in both. I don't which one the game uses.
