ScreenConnectClientService (executable name: ScreenConnect.ClientService.exe) is a background system service for ScreenConnect (formerly known as ConnectWise Control). It is a legitimate remote support and remote access program used by IT departments, Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and technical support teams to connect to and control a computer remotely.


What it Does

• Enables Remote Control: Allows authorized IT technicians or helpdesk staff to view your screen, control mouse/keyboard input, transfer files, or run scripts in the background.
• Unattended Access: If configured as an unattended client, it runs continuously in the background so support staff can access the PC even when no user is logged in.
