What is Windows 11 Pro (USB - English) as listed on the Microsoft site?

Is there a version w/o USB support? Does English support come on a USB stick?

If you mean

it is the installation media and key on a usb stick instead of on a dvd.

It is very expensive.

There is a link somewhere on this site for about £25 iirc. Presumably an emailed key and a link to the iso file. Then just extract it onto a £5 usb stick. Same thing a fraction of the cost.

You're reading the site, you tell us! WIndows 11 is downloadable in ISO format using the Media Creation Tool which also creates a USB version.

If these keys are legit they are probably OEM keys that allows for a single installation. Luckily once you have a digital license for Windows 11 Pro on your computer you won't need they key anymore. But if for some reason you want to raplce your PC this key cannot be used again.

PS: If I am not mistaken, Microsofts requires a retail version of Windows if you are installing on existing computer. OEM keys are meant for use with specific ventors such as an HP lisence for an HP computer or laptop. Using an OEM version on a different brand or custom-built PC is violating the EULA.

You can change an OEM license to a Retail license simply by changing the installed product key to the generic retail product key for that same edition of Windows 10 or 11.

I don't think is that simple. If you try to mix versions you will get an error that this key is not applicable to your version of Windows. I might be wrong, not sure.

It really is that simple. Windows 10 Home installed on a computer with an OEM product key stored in BIOS, then changed to the retail generic product key for Windows 10/11 home:

Not completely. I've built many systems in my time and with each build I was able to buy and install the current OEM version of Windows on each of them. I was the "Original Equipment Manufacturer"; thus qualified for the OEM version of Windows.

Haven't had occasion to check for Win11 but earlier versions had a System Builder edition, good for custom builders. Downside was the builder usually was also the warranty support.

At this moment I'm half-way through getting the USB created using the MCT process.

Yes I was once an OEM too, but many those that sell OEM keys online are violating the EULA. According to the EULA an OEM key must always be sold with some hardware (PC, laptop, tablet) not independently. Some stores deliberately misinterpret the word hardware and sell some cheap peripheral, such as a mouse in order to make their customers believe it is legit buying an OEM key for a different computer.

And that's exactly what I did. When I bought my parts, I included the OEM version of Windows. And, I installed Windows on the system I bought the OEM for; therefore, it couldn't be legitimately installed on anything else. Back when I first started building, there were few, if any, online stores, so I actually went to the brick and mortar ones.

I wouldn't know about stores misinterpreting hardware . . . I never tried anything like that. My mama taught me to obey the rules.

Some do when trying to sell a Windows key at a very low price but the customer doesn't want to buy a whole computer. To prevent the customer leaving without buying they offer to sell a mouse or other cheap peripheral with the OEM key. Some even sell just the key without any hardware.

While I was a Butterfly and also an MVP, we had meetings in Redmond. We learned really quick to bring an extra (empty) suitcase because we went home well supplied with "stuff".

I gave one of those airplane flying programs to a friend and my SIL got the latest version of Microsoft Money. He's still using it. We Beta Testers also got pretty much everything we tested as a reward. Sadly, those days are gone forever . . .
