Today, when I started up my laptop, it failed to boot with the error code WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR.
After restarting the PC, it booted successfully, but I have no idea why this error occurred.

  • I haven’t made any hardware changes or done any overclocking.
  • In the BIOS, the only change I made was disabling Fast Boot; everything else is set to default.
  • I tried running chkdsk C:, but no errors were found. I’ll try Memtest86+ later.

I’d like to hear about others’ experiences. If this BSOD does not happen again, is it safe to just ignore it?

Did the error message appear right after you disabled fast boot or was it multiple boots later?

As a rule, if you get only one random BSOD it's safe to ignore. If it does happen again however, follow the instructions on this page: BSOD Crash Analysis

I’ve had Fast Boot disabled for a few months now, so I don’t think it has a clear connection to this BSOD.
Thank you for pointing me to the BSOD thread, if the problem happens again, I’ll post there.
