Where does Windows store the local Xbox game saves?

When a Windows game syncs with the Xbox game servers, where do the local files get saved?
If I re-install a game such as FH5, it takes 10-15 minutes to sync the cloud save to the PC, I was wondering which folder it goes into.

A good place to start looking is:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\

It varies greatly by app/games but look for files sorted by date.
Obviously, the most recently changed should give you a clue.

I play Island City 5, they store their data in
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Packages\SparklingSociety.CityIsland5_cechnmvjdb364\LocalState\Storage
The files are named data<number>, I just copy that file to other machines since their cloud service is down and can pick up the game where I left off.

You should find it in C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache
unless it was installed on another drive

So in theory I could backup these folders and easily restore a saved game without losing progress or waiting for it all to sync?

I recently installed MSFS 2020 on a new PC and was surprised to find it restored all my data e.g. flight log from the cloud. It seems this data is not accessible by the user.
