where to find network credentials username and password

I know there are different network credentials for different network connections, see pic, I'm looking for the credentials to establish local private lan file sharing, these are my pc's, I don't remember setting a username and password for this pc networking and can't find where they might be so I can check or change the username and password. I have accessed the credential manager but nothing listed there looks like it would be these credentals for local network access

It’s asking for the username/password that belong to the PC you’re trying to connect to.

thanks, I did connected to the win10 pc on my win11 pc, but still struggling, embarassingly, finding the 'network' password to the win11 pc to get access to it from the win10 pc, I gave the win11 pc a name at some point, replacing the default name, which shows as the host name in systeminfo, but that host name does not appear in the credential list. could that mean I gave it a name but not a password? is that possible? at this point I would delete or remove or change the existing host name and in that process add a password

the default name was something like DESKTOP-AC....
isn't there someplace that I can find that default name?

or you can open the old page in 24h2 via create a folder and name it:

trying to remotely access a system... why would it try to connect to the old hostname? just flush dns if thats an issue, but it shouldnt be at all

It's asking for the User name, not the PC name.

Agreed. I’ve tried explaining that, twice, but the OP has yet to confirm, 11 posts later, whether or not they tried using the destinations Microsoft/Windows username/password to fill in the credential box and connect.

first let me say big thanks for sticking with this, I used to be pretty good with this stuff but now feel like an idiot, but here goes, when trying \\bbx, I get the enter network credentials dialog and I also got IIS. thinking perhaps its looking for a network username/password and not the win11 pc username/pswd, I created credentials for bbx, but those are not accepted in the enter network credentials, of course I had tried the win11 acct id/pswd but doesn't accept that either, thats why I'm here, it used to be to connect you would enter a valid user acct id/pswd to connect and you would specify what folders/files were available per acct, that worked great to fine tune what different file access was available based on user acct, but none of that seems to work or apply now, except that my win11 pc can access the win10 pc like it used to be

If the target computer doesn't have a password, you might try creating one.

On the computer your trying to access, do you have it set to use a pin number instead of a password? If you use a pin number try rebooting the computer and instead of using the pin, choose the password option to sign-in. You should only have to use the password one time. After that you can go back to using the pin. Once Windows has started try accessing the computer again using the User Name and password for the computer you're trying to access.

thanks again for the continuing advice, just to test, I created a local user acct and was able to connect using that acct credentials, so I feel better that I haven't lost my mind, but still want figure out why the original acct is so elusive, I seem to remember that in the past, with a new pc, I would not use the ms acct for the pc acct as it caused problems like what I'm having now and create a local acct instead. I do use the pin option because its so easy and will try using the ms acct username/pswd next login to see if that can get access with that acct after that and will post back

the option to remove using pin for sign on is greyed out, per gemini, to fix that suggests runniing sfc , and 3 DISM tools, I ran sfc, no issues there and I have tried running the 1st, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, but it doesn't finish after 2 hrs, so not sure how to continue to be able to remove pin. I know its off topic for this post, so I will post a new thread to address that and get back here, when I get that resolved
