Why do Microsoft change things that work?

I have installed dynamic themes. This gives me a different background every day. I am allowed to save the ones I like to my computer. Microsoft/Bill Gates has just decided to put a stop to that. When I click on the start menu, I can click on apps at the top and scroll down to dynamic screens. Not anymore.

At the top now I see show more or show less and I cannot find dynamic themes. Is there a reason for this? Can somone help me get to this app as it is now hidden?

Roll on W12. Sorry this is W12 or is it W50 disguised as W11?

Because they think it's progress. And whenever new features come out, some apps don't work as well. I bought Kvad Photo Pro+ (twice actually) - been using it for quite a few years - it hasn't worked the last couple of years. Some of it is down to the app developers keeping things updated or not.

Also because they want you to use something else Microsoft related.

In all seriousness, Microsoft seems to believe in "Let's keep fixing it til it breaks", and when enough people complain, they pivot to, "let's keep breaking things until it's fixed."

I don't think the phrase "don't fix it if it isn't broken" is in their vocabulary.

We all have seen things we like on computers and phones disappear as these companies' software, website, and app developers have to assert their worthiness to keep working by making "new and dynamic" changes to their wares. Also, it is a way to cause someone to buy a "new and improved" product. And, sometimes the changes are downright odious. We also hate change as consumers of these products!

Perfect example of paltering. An OS that now requires monthly updates, which break something for someone EVERY TIME, comprises the opposite of "continuous improvement" since windows 95.

I must be fortunate in running a good combination of hardware and software. Windows 11 Pro 25H2 26200.7171 is running smoothly and problem free for me.

Yeah - that is called Linux. It updates so inconsistently, I stopped using it.

While MS breaks some of their own stuff on the regular, for the most part the native OS is fairly solid. What users do not understand is that MS is under no obligation to consider 3rd party apps in the changes they make to the OS. It is the responsibility of any app developer to keep his app updated to work with whatever changes MS decides to make in the OS.
You have to first prove if the problem lies in Windows, your user account, or in the app.

Make sure you have no corrupt system files that is causing this problem. Open a command prompt as administrator and type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
When complete restart. Then open command prompt as admin again and run sfc /scannow
Pay attention to the scan results to see if SFC found anything it could not repair

Create a new user account to test with. Install the app for the new user. If it works in another account, you have some sort of corruption in your user account.

Completely remove every trace of the app by uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller FREE. After the uninstall completes, in Revo Scan for and remove all leftover traces of the app, Restart and and reinstall the app. If that doesn't work, contact Christophe Lavalle. Dynamic Theme - Pinnula Apps

My Dynamic Themes shows fine in both pinned and grid view on the new start menu.
