Why does installing fonts from add optional features take so long

Hi folks
Using "Add optional features" I need to add some of the extra fonts like some Chinese and Hebrew. Seems to take a long time especially when the base file sizes are around 25Mb each !!!

Any idea why these installs seem to take a long time -- surely adding a few fonts shouldn't be that complex a task.

Can only think that the base fonts are not the only things added, there would be basic dictionaries for the language, and language rules too especially with languages such as Hebrew or Chinese, ( or others that do not use the Roman alphabet )

Yes I have noticed that too. Trying to add the extra latin fonts takes too long. I hardly use them, but I want to have maximum features enabled.

    Legacy MBR installation, no TPM, no Secure Boot, no WDDM 2.0 graphics drivers, cannot get more unsupported ;) This is only my test laptop. I had installed Windows 11 here before upgrading my main PC. For my main PC I use everyday see my 2nd system specs.
