Hi everybody,

This is my first post here!

Every couple of months or so I get a message when I tried to sign in to my laptop saying "Your organization requires that you change your PIN". I believe this started happening after I signed into Office 365 using my college email to take advantage of the free subscription. But I quickly realized I didn't like O365 and since uninstalled and signed out of everything and every school account in the windows settings that I can find. My computer is my own and was never attached to, set up by or belonged to any organization. I don't understand why this setting is STILL on or why is even turned on in the first place. There doesn't seem to be any clear answer anywhere else.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions,

Thanks!

Not something I've dealt with, so far.

This is for Win10, but appears to apply to 11 as well: password expires

Short version: in a search box, enter lusrmgr.msc. Click on Users (upper left). Click your userID. Under your UserID in the right pane, click more actions, then properties.

In my installation, the "password never expires" box is checked.

It doesn't look like this solution works on windows 11. This is the screen I get.

No, it just means you have Windows 11 Home. The lusrmgr.msc snap-in requires you to have Windows 10/11 Pro.

Option Two in the tutorial Brink gave a link for should work for you, Option One uses the group policy editor, another thing that's only available in Pro.
