It should be part of your windows install already unless you used something to remove it or manually ripped it out.

You can download the installer and get it updated, then once updated turn off the settings that have it start with windows, and auto import data from chrome etc. Then just dont use it.

You can compress the Edge related folders in Program Files but don't except miracles. You will have a small gain.

Never used it, I cannot tell how good it is. However I would be careful because debloating utilities can affect compatibility and cause issues.

If you don't care about the weather widget or any other widget, you can just uninstall Microsoft Edge. I am not sure what other incompatibility this will cause though. Like I said you can use 8gadgetpacks to see the Weather gadget.

My father's computer has the weather widget (Microsoft Edge is installed and set as default browser) which shows current temperature at taskbar. So what? He also has the Mein Wetter desktop gadget that does the same, provided it is not covered by some open window. I find the gadget more convenient because it also shows more information when expanded. Decide based on what is convenient for you. If you are not going to use the widgets too often apart for the occasional glance at the temperature or stocks you can uninstall Microsoft Edge and use desktop gadgets with 8gatdgetpack.

PS: If you open www.msn.com at any browser you have the same info as the respective widgets.

I steer clear of cruft loaded, memory hog pages such as that!!! And that includes the Widget versions thereof!!!

It's the only way to see the MSN weather and other info without Microsoft Edge and widgets. The best alternative is desktop gadgets.
