Prior to this update, my wifi connected automatically to the network, using a certificate (not password). With the update, I am now prompted every time I move from one AP to another, "If I expect to [my network] at this location, click to connect. It connects with no problem, but I move around a lot on my campus and having to reconnect everytime is very inconvenient. We have updated the drivers, changed the group policies and checked to be sure "Connect Automatically" is enabled, but no luck so far. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Hi,
Go to Settings, Network & Internet, WiFi, Manage Known Networks, remove other irrelevant networks by clicking "Forget", leave only the network belong to your system.

Welcome to the forum. Here are a few things to try.

1. Run network troubleshooter. Settings- System-troubleshoot-other troubleshooters-Internet connections-RUN

2. Reset your network adapters Reset Network Adapters in Windows 11 Tutorial

3. Attached is @FreeBooter .bat file which resets network components. Unzip the file and RIGHT click on the .bat file. Select run as administrator.

4. Check for file system corruption. Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow
After system file checker completes, make note of whether it found and corrected any problems. If found and corrected, restart
If it found problems it could not correct, in command window type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth.
Restart

5. Upgrade to 22H2.

If none of this helps report back. It would be of benefit to us if you would add your computer specs to your forum profile so we can know what we are working with.

Thanks for such a prompt reply. Unfortunately, none of those things solved the problem. Everything works fine except that I´m prompted to confirm that I expect to see this network connection, and then click to connect.

Here is an article that Dartmouth University puts out to their students describing your issue precisely. Everything in it has been suggested to you separately already, except for changing the power options, but run through the suggestions again.

I hesitated to suggest changing your power options as I did not have your computer information available. If your laptop uses S0 sleep(modern standby) a word of warning. We have had reports here where users using a laptop equipped with modern standby as opposed to S3 sleep have encountered overheating problems when the laptop was kept in a bag.
Another thought. If you are using a VPN, try disconnecting it.

If your school is using a WiFi root certificate, you need to redo their process to enroll your PC. Every school has a different method, check your campus IT site.
