Greetings! New member here with a problem I have not encountered before and have yet to find an answer to in any of the online forums I have been searching so really hoping to get an effective solution here.
As you may surmise by my screen name, IT is not my primary forte.
I recently obtained a Dell Optiplex 7060 desktop PC with WIN 11 and using Chrome browser. When I simply restart the PC (e.g. click power icon, select restart and press enter), the Wi-Fi interface automatically reconnects as it was prior to restarting. If, however, I shut the PC down and turn it back on (a common 'fix' for many issues, yes?), then the Wi-Fi interface defaults to airplane mode AND there is NO Wi-Fi setting present in settings for me to turn it back on. If, after initial start up from shut down with no Wi-Fi connection as described previously, I simply restart it, the Wi-Fi returns and automatically reconnects to my preferred network (signal strength on the network is excellent as it is only 6' away from the router - albeit in a different room). I have installed all WIN updates.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
