I come from an issue with Win 10 and Win 11 does the same problem.
Basically, as soon as internet is connected after fresh install, my laptop (MSI GL65 9SD) takes up to a minute to start and shutdown and over 30 seconds to detect any new USB peripherals (sticks, external hdd, phone).
This ONLY happens after Windows 11 connects to internet and starts downloading drivers.
- postponing windows updates STILL downloads drivers
-going into settings, system, about, and hardware (where device manager is) and selecting "do not automatically install drivers" STILL installs drivers and still creates the same issue.
Up until windows 11 connects to internet, my laptop starts and shutdown in seconds, and USB attachments are detected instantly as it should
PLEASE, how to stop windows 11 installing (and even downloading) ANY drivers? Certainly there is one that is not playing nice with the hardware in the MSI GL65 9SD
