Hi,

I have Asus GT-AXE11000 router and everything there should be ok. I can see 2GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz networks wih my phone allways.
My PC has ASUS PCE-AXEBT59 wifi 6E card and latest drivers.
Windows 11 is also updated (22631.3085).

PROBLEM:
When PC can can see 6GHZ it will connect to network and everything work´s fine.
Today my PC didn´t find 6GHZ at all but only 2GHz and 5GHz netwoks.
I signed in windows and tried everything but cant find 6GHZ.
I took antenna off from my wifi card and immediately 6GHz wifi was found and connected.
I put antenna back and everything is good.
Anyone know why this this happening? Doesn´t make any sense at all :-).
Ideas what to do?

I think this is a recent 'Preview' build so did the problem start after that update? The latest 'Stable' build is 22631.3007. Maybe try rolling back to see if the problem disappears.

These problems started september 2023 when i bought wifi 6E card. Before that i used only 5GHz network.

If you got that build via the last Patch Tuesday update then maybe you have "Get the latest updates as soon as they are available" switched 'On? I have it switched Off and my HP machine only got Build 22631.3007 at the last PT update.

@JBL - In that case the issue might not be related to the Build version. I see that your drivers are all up to date so I don't know what else to suggest. Sorry.

No, I don't have that setting. Because of my clients I have to keep my computers as near to a default install, no third-party customizations and very little change in the default settings of Windows. Patch Tuesday with KB5034123 was on 1/9/2024 with KB5034204 installed on 1/24/2024.

I have "Get the latest updates" turned OFF and 22631.3085 is my current version. I probably installed it when it showed up in the list of available updates. Yes, I check "windows updates" regularly.

Thank you for clarifying that guys. It seems that it is my HP machine that isn't getting Build 3085 for some reason. I have just checked for updates again and no updates are found except for the 'Preview' update KB5034204. I am not fussing about this because the next PT is next Tuesday 13th Feb so maybe my machine will 'get in line' with what other machines are getting.

Edit: I think that Build 3085 must be the 'Preview' update as @Berton said in post #7. I never install these and that might explain it.

All my computers are HP and my current build is 22631.3085 and I always keep "Get the latest updates as soon as they are available" switched "Off". I found that the updates bog down my laptop, if I leave it "On".

I received/installed KB5034204 on the 28th of January. I received/installed the update for Build 22631.3007 (KB5034123) on 18th of January.

I also see KB5034467 available under "Optional Updates". But I really don't need it right now and they will probably blend it in with subsequent updates anyway.

Seeing that it started working as soon as you removed the antenna makes me think of outside interference might be the issue. Make a note of the channel it's using (most probably on auto in your router) and try a different channel.

I turned off wifi and back on. 6GHz network disappeared.
Tried manually change all channels and windows didn´t find 6GHz at all. I put it back to auto.
I turned off and back on my network card from device manager. After turned on windows signed instantly to 6GHz network.
I don´t understand what is goin on

That is what I said. You were the one that brought up the update switch. I just mentioned that I have the build in question and don't use the update switch, just like you. :-)

If other devices can find the Wi-Fi 6 then I'm thinking it's the Wi-Fi adapter. If it happens again and if possible I would try reseating the Wi-Fi adapter.
