Since KB5074109, I've been having troubles with File Explorer. Specifically:
■ When I right click on the taskbar, nothing happens (nothing at all -- no context menu).
■ Explorer Patcher would not give me a Quick Launch Toolbar
If I killed and restarted the File Explorer process, things would start working normally again.
Microsoft was aware of the File Explorer prob's that KB5074109 caused, and said they would fix them.
2026-02 Security Update (KB5077181) was released today as the patch.
Unfortunately, I still got no Quick Launch Toolbar --- stopping and restarting File Explorer brought it back as before.
Right clicking on the task bar still did nothing until Explorer was stopped and restarted.
I decided to try messing with my own setup to see if that was the problem.
Starting w/o Explorer Patcher still resulted in no action when I right clicked on the taskbar.
So then I turned off all of my Windhawk mods and did successive restarts, adding in a mod each time.
Everything worked great until I got to the "Win10 taskbar on Win11 24H2 or 25H2" Mod.
When that mod is enabled, I get no Quick Launch Toolbar and right clicking on the task bar does nothing.
Stopping and restarting File Explorer brings both back.
So I will leave the "Win10 taskbar on Win11 24H2 or 25H2" Mod disabled.
Thought I should let someone know about this.
I am on Windows 11 Pro, 25H2, Build 26200.7840
