Window sizing borders for a dockable window

I have an application that has a dockable component. When I undock it the sizing border is really difficult to select - as if it's only about 1px wide. That's really problematic on hi-res monitors.

Is there any way I can change this?

I tried changing HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics\BorderWidth and HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics\BorderWidth\PaddedBorderWidth (doubled both values) and while that appeared to change the behaviour for the application main window, the un-docked window was unchanged.

FWIW this is a Qt application, but AFAIK that shouldn't be relevant - a window is a window...

I guess the specific app overrides global settings. A workaround would be to change its Compatibility settings (right-click on the shortcut, Properties, Compatibility). Try the "Disable fullscreen optimizations" first. Then try to change the High DPI settings, Override Hight DPI settings and set to System.

The application is high-DPI aware - changing to System would mess that up.

Just try it and if it doesn't fix your issue, restore the original settings
