Hello,

I didn't quite know where to make this thread so I hope this is the right place.

I recently "inherited" the creation of images from my coworker and I want to ask how you guys add languages to your images. The "tutorial" I received from the departed coworker was to add them via the "Settings > Region & Languages menu" and then remove the local user appx packages when doing sysprep (otherwise it fails). This apparently worked for him in previous versions, that is 22, 23 and 24H2...

We use en-US as the base for the image and on top of it we add multiple languages. I already managed to create an image which contains 2 languages (en-US and a 2nd one which I set as system default before sysprep)... The issue is that I included one more language and it got removed after sysprep and the 2nd language is only a "partial" language.

My question is: what's the most reliable way of adding languages to an image in 25H2? From my search I found that .cab is the best way to include them but for that I would need a 25H2 Language Pack ISO which I currently don't have. Are there any workarounds where I could provision these languages as Appx packages etc?

W11 24H2/25H2 share the same ISO:

If you want an automated solution, try abbodi1406's W10MUI script which can integrate the Language Packs and Monthly LCU's.

You could provision LXP's/LIP's (Appx) but there are complaints that they don't provide a complete translation experience compared to LP's. Plus it's a pain to track down the install packages for an offline image, since they're only available from the Store.
