Windows 11 - 25H2 (version 26200)

Hello Guys,

First of all, happy 2026! Let's code!

I am migrating our current deployment version of Windows 11 to the latest build (25H2).
I've just created a normal install.wim (on a machine with scanstate as well) and i am currently applying it using WDS, just a standard procedure as we currently do.

When i perform a complet recovery using the "Reset this PC" option (on the deployed machine), i get the old OOBE from Windows 10. If i press the continue button on the language selecion menu, i can see the "Why did my PC restart" warning.... weird... if i press OK, i get back to the normal Windows 11 OOBE Language selector, as its supposed to have in first place.

Does anyone come across with this scenario on this version?

I've tested the machine wihtout scanstate and it works fine... It seems that the recovery has issues on images with scanstate applied.... weird:

I've tested the Scanstate version 26200 and version 28000. Both with the same issue. If i dont use the scanstate tool, the machine can make the recovery without any issue.

Does anyone had something like this?

No one is building Windows 11 - 25H2 with Scanstate?

Nope, not me. Never used USMT for anything actually.
