Windows 11 clipboard viewer doesn't show large images

Windows 11 for Workstations
I copied a large image to the clipboard, but the clipboard viewer (Win+V) just didn't show it.

Is that normal?

I was using the old Clipboarder gadget but that complained that the image in question was too large :(

There is no size limit to clipboard data but you might need to wait up to 30 secs. for data to appear.

Well I copied it to the clipboard some minutes ago but the clipboard viewer insists:

If I open e.g. IrfanView and paste the image appears immediately (in IrfanView - not the clipboard viewer).

Small stuff appears in the viewer just fine ...
