Would you use Win 11 cloud? I can see advantages and disadvantages with this but with a good internet connection you could have a decent tablet as a gaming machine
Microsoft is working on a Windows 365 subscription for consumers.

Depends on how much it costs. If it's cheap, for sure. Current business version is a minimum of US$31/month. Too rich for my blood!

This is what I'm afraid Microsoft will lead to and require you to have an entire OS on the cloud. You will only have a client version on your machine where you will then have to log into your "cloud" user account.
I think this will lead to further privacy issues and as
@Fabler2 stated, without a high-speed internet connection, it would be impossible. But I guess this is why we are paying taxes???????

I think the subscription cost will depend on the 'system' you select. CPU, GPU etc. Being 'old school', as they say, it's not for me but I wonder if it will become popular with the newer generations? Being able to play high end games on a virtual potato of a machine. No initial layout for expensive hardware?

Once the internet exploded I speculated that your PC would eventually be a smart terminal. Inevitably you will be charged per Remote Procedure Call. Heh heh heh. Don't toss out those Linux distros yet.

IMHO, I don't see this this happening any time soon. Even here in the US there are too many areas that don't have high speed internet. As for me, Only if I'm forced to and maybe not even then. I left Windows once and went with Linux. As long as I can find Linux software equivalent to the software I use in Windows and drivers for all of my hardware I wouldn't have a problem going back to Linux.
