Windows 11 indexing very slow

In my computer over the past 24 hours Windows has only indexed 5000 items. I've tried many things to fix this including sfc scannow, rebuilding the index, repairing pst files, restarting the service, rebooting, installing latest updates. Nothing has worked. Any advice would be appreciated.

In my system I have switched off indexing completely. Why? Because in my view it is useless and takes a lot of system resources, especially does take lots of SSD use / wear.

I switched it off on each disk and switched off the indexing service.

For searches for maps and files in the system I use the freeware app 'Everything' which is very fast in searches through the system and does not need any indexing (or does some indexing itself but you don't note it...).

But maybe someone has an expanation why in your system indexing is slow.
To make that more possible, please change your system specs in such way that people can see what your system is built up from.
The OS certainly won't be 'Oldyeller88'.

I updated my system specs - my mistake. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'm going to look at the freeware app 'Everything'. Thanks for that.

Sorry, but that is a very poor update.
Please specify at least what version of Windows 11 you'r having (Home, Pro, 22H2, 23H2, 24H2) and preferably as well what the result of typing 'winver' in a command box is. Mine is: Windows 11 Pro 23H2 22631.4460
