Solved windows 11 logs of new disk being created

Is there anywhere that you find windows 11 logs of new disk being created? I was trying to follow tutorials of my computer not booting up. Somehow a new disk was created when following these tutorials.

I used this tutorial on dism.


dism using windows image
dism /image:c:\ /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:c:\windows

scratch dir
/scratchdir:{path}

using alternative image
dism /image:c:\ /cleanup-image /restorehealth /source:{path to esd}

sfc from recovery
sfc /scannow /offbootdir={drive}\ /offwindir={drive}\windows

I used this tutorial on my boot record being corrupted.


diskpart
list disk
sel disk 0
list vol
assign letter=v

format V: /fs:fat32

bcdboot c:\windows /s v: /f UEFI

Why did you want to do this?

Press the Windows key +X and choose Disk Management.
Please attach a screenshot of this window including the lower pane showing all the drives and partitions on your computer, including drive V:

When you're in Windows Recovery, it's running WinRE from a RAM disk (drive X:).

It doesn't write to the system's event logs, and self-logging is limited to WinRE's SRT logs for automatic repair mode. So there's no logging of your manual actions. The EFI partition normally doesn't need a drive letter, because it's supposed to be hidden.

I am not able to boot into windows right now. I am using the windows recovery.

Sorry everyone. Following those steps caused the Windows Recovery on the computer to be unusable. I am now have to boot to the flash drive of the windows 11 iso to get into Windows Recovery. So the extra disk is my flash drive.
