Am I the only one who has loaded Windows 11 to find out that my 'Wi-fi' connection keep on dropping out. also my laptop keeps on freezing. I also don't know why the icons have to be across the bottom of my screen, I don't want 'Teams' because I don't like using it its to complicated, 'Zoom' is so much easier to navigate around, but can I uninstall Teams NO.
Don't get me started on the Widgets, If I wanted to have widgets I would load them not have them always asking me to add.
The chat icon looks like the Zoom icon, have Microsoft got permission to use it?

To sum up, I feel that I'm being used as a tactical support tester, and would add the icons to my home screen if I wanted them.

So far and it's very early day when using Windows 11 I'm not keen.

Marc

1. No wifi issues here or freezing
2. Uninstall and remove Teams icon from Taskbar
3. Disable Widgets

Thank you Cornishrattler I’ve removed the bits I didn’t like. Still worried about my freezing and the WiFi but of course it hasn’t done it today so far.
Thank you again. Marc

@Marc @CornishRattler has it right for you, don't forget to click like helpful or great support for him as well. I agree about teams and just disabled them along with widgets, task view and chat. I thought there was a right click option to uninstall teams, there is on mine but maybe it does nothing.

No, you are not the only one. I recently build a new Win11-compatible desktop using an ASUS STRIX motherboard and no sooner did I get Win11 installed and working than the network kept dropping out.

I researched this online and found that this was a known, common issue with that motherboard and others -- all of which had one of the newer 2.5GB networking ports. I went to Intel, downloaded the firmware and driver updates, but the ASUS board would not let me install them.

So, I returned it, switched over to an ASRock board, which also has the 2.5Gb ethernet but not the Intel chip, and have had no issues like this.

I was dropping Wifi signals frequently on my Thinkpad running Windows 10 + super laggy bluetooth connection to my mouse.

Equipment were tested ok though when running on my work laptop.

Windows 11 actually solved everything for me!

I was dropping Wifi signals frequently on my Thinkpad running Windows 10 + super laggy bluetooth connection to my mouse.
And don't forget that Bluetooth and WiFi 2.4 are sharing the same frequency spectrum, so it's a good idea to keep them physically separated as much as possible to avoid interference between both.

My dinosaur Insider machine is a lost cause, mainly cuz they cut me off from getting any new Builds, so..., I get to feck with it til it blows up in my face!

My VivoBook, however, is running quite well on a W11 upgrade, at breakneck speed, I might add!

My ROG machine is staying on W10 for the time being! Too much at stake at the moment!

Still a few things I dislike about W11, but..., meh.
