Windows 11 performance on AMD systems VS windows 10

So as some may be aware there is an issue with the scheduler in windows 11.
Where Microsoft in their infinite wisdom sat down with just Intel to design the scheduler to run on big-little alder lake.
Now they are sitting down with AMD to bring that back into line.

Which probably is where Microsoft derived the compatible list of CPU's from.

As someone that likes to run benchmarks sometimes for stress testing purposes I've put windows 11 through several over the past month or so I've had it installed.

Ryzen 9 3900x.
Slower single core and multi score results in every benchmark I can find.

So with that i'll be going back to windows 10, also because the reliance on TPM for security is baffling as it has been breached multiple times going back as far as 2011.
I may or may not revisit windows 11 once the fix is applied but likely not for several months at this point.
All the best.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X here. I've not run any benchmarks but I've only noticed a slow down using a couple of programs; Auslogics Disk Defragmenter and Specy, although Specy has always been slow on this machine odly. I'm not a gamer but I do edit video with DaVinci Resolve which is working as expected and rendering quickly.

Short version: Microsoft said they would patch this in October this year. So far they haven't done that.
Yeah they did, from what I've been hearing it will be a little longer now.

I can always upgrade again but I'm not going to wait for them to fix something that shouldn't have been an issue in the first place.
It irks me immensely when a company releases software untested and not working as intended expecting users to just accept 15% performance drops until it is fixed.
As a dev myself it I find it completely irresponsible, wee bug fine massive performance problem...not fine at all.

The only bench I've run since clean installing 11 is time spy which achieved the highest score yet on this hardware with SAM off.

Some time during Windows 10, it's seemed to me that MS has decided to leave a lot of the "testing" to... us.
They've also made Windows practically free, so there is that trade off.

I kind of think of Windows as a game now, with side quests and boss monsters.
I'm not sure how I'd feel about it, if I really "needed" Windows in a mission critical way.
I wonder how businesses are going to feel about it.

Unsure about tpm 2.0 but tpm has been breached as far back as that.

What exactly do you mean by "breached"? If you're talking about slicing the top off the outer chip and using an electron microscope, that's not exactly a viable method for anyone, costing hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get at your computer...

Broached, I presume.

The smartest people in the world sometimes come up with a word that is almost the right one.

As someone that likes to run benchmarks sometimes for stress testing purposes I've put windows 11 through several over the past month or so I've had it installed.

Ryzen 9 3900x.
Slower single core and multi score results in every benchmark I can find.
Were the benches after the just-released update that says it fixes issues with the AMD L3 Cache. Just updated in the Beta branch today on Insider Program:
KB005746 Beta Preview
