Windows 11 quick launch bar icon behavior

I know this is a longshot, struggling to get this W11 PRO OS to behave a little closer to how I'm used to with W10, at least in minor ways, but also how I feel is more intuitive:

1) I like to organize commonly used app icons on a quick launch bar. I know W11 got rid of this, but I've dabbled with ExplorerPatcher and Windhawk to re-create it. Below screenshots are with ExplorerPather set to W10 taskbar style.
2) On W10, I had setup small easily found icons on this quick launch bar. When clicking them, they opened another wider icon on the taskbar but left my quick launch area and icon alone and small sized.
3) Every click of the quick launch icon, example Chrome, would open another Chrome window on the taskbar, outside of the quick launch taskbar area and with a wider icon. This is as desired, I don't like my apps bundling all windows within one icon.
4) Here's some screenshots of Chrome on both W10 and W11, it is my right-most quick launch icon. I have a separator icon (vertical bar) trying to keep those quick launch icons segregated.
5) On W10, clicking the quick launch Chrome icon opens a (new) instance of Chrome and adds a new wider Chrome icon on the task bar. Whenever I click the quick launch it continues to open a new Chrome window and adds a new Chrome icon. This is the desired behavior
6) On W11, clicking the quick launch Chrome icon widens the icon within quick launch, thereby shifting things around and becoming visually abhorrent to my eyes.
7) Furthermore, I lose the ability to open a new Chrome instance by clicking this widened icon. I have to right-click and select New Window. But the new Window is also within the quick launch fenced area, so I lose visual organization of these quick launch icons.

Has anybody found a way to revert this behavior to how it worked on W10?

If you display the pictures within your post, you'll be able to put the text that applies to each picture next to it and so make your post more understandable.
Attaching them as files instead stopped me understanding your post.
I think [but am not sure] that you are mixing up the subject of the Quick launch bar with the subject of the icons/bars shown on the Taskbar for running applications.

Best of luck,
Denis

Hello,

I couldn't find a way to edit the post but agree I originally didn't want to upload attachments but embed images.

First, on the term Quick Launch Bar. you are right, I meant Quick Launch Toolbar.

Second, thanks for the comment that what I was looking for was likely already possible with the 3rd party tools like ExplorerPatcher.

It made me realize I was missing a key point in that the Quick Launch Toolbar was also not by default in W10 but had to be created in the specific folder path: \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

This video explains most of what I was trying to accomplish:

I'm all set here, thanks for your time.
