Windows 11 Scheduler not running startup program

Windows 11
Hi All,
We have a new PC that we are setting up for resale,
it has the programs we need loaded onto it and it and the programs all work great.
The problem we are having is the we want to use the Windows 11 Scheduler to automatically run a short cut on the desktop whenever Windows restarts.
I have looked everywhere and tried many additions to the Scheduler but nothing is working, i can see the program in the Scheduler list and i even have the scheduler pinned to the desktop. The only thing i can think of is that it has something to do with not entering the licence yet as we will only do this when the PC is sold. And perhaps it is something to do with the user setup as well.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
regards
Trevor

You'll need to execute the respective app and pass the file as parameters.

Why stress over this if you're selling it, leave it to the prospective owner to decide what they want running.

Hi,
Appreciate the reply,
I did have the program to run selected and also the parameters, 3rd image down.
We want to provide this as a flawless alternative to an older system that does do this already on restart. (Very old Win XP program)

You don't want to run "At Startup", that runs a background task which doesn't wait for the user to logon. Instead trigger on "At logon".

To be honest I wouldn’t buy a computer from someone unless it was a retail store, and not reset Windows.

It’s probably non of anyones business but why do you want Clipsal Schedule Plus?

So they asked for this program specifically? Are they running an automated home?
You’re selling the PC with a Schedule Plus USB dongle to unlock the software from an evaluation version to a full working version for the new owner?
Does this system give you remote access to their computer?

Re the task settings

Don’t use “At Startup” use “At Logon”
In the “Conditions” I am not sure that you need anything checked. This is to Always Run, is it not?
Try logon of any user
In “Settings” why do you want it to stop after 3 days
Why force to stop?

Edit. I was typing when @garlin replied

Thanks to all,
the option to select "trigger on "At logon" " has fixed that, it now boots up into the program.
But it does leave the start menu active and on top, it is set to auto hide it but that doesn't seem to be working. Could it be because the last active program was the Scheduler that is in the start menu.

Is it possible to select a program - At logon to be the active program and hide the start menu bar

Reads more link you want to run the PC as a kiosk? Maybe not, I don’t know.
Glad you got your app to work though. Cheers

Start Menu opening should be unrelated to the program auto-run. As an experiment, temporarily create a different user and see if the behavior follows for that user logon. If it doesn't, you've got some other customization going on.
