Windows 11
hi friends. so I have a Lenovo laptop and I recently had Windows 11 completely reinstalled on it and quite happy with it it works a lot better without all the that was originally on it and I was poking around with the Windows security and I toggled on the app and browser control part which it was initially off and I should have left it off but it doesn't give me a chance to turn it off again like when I turned it on it was just a toggle switch and then resetting the computer but I don't have that option now and I believe that now it may have made my computer a little bit slower. Maybe this isn't even a problem? But thank you. Let me know please if or how I can toggle it back off.

Thanks very much and have a blessed day.

Smart App Control can be toggled only once. With a normal Windows iso, SAC installs by default in evaluation mode, ie: toggled on.

If yours was originally OFF, One of 3 things happened.
1.Whomever installed windows for you had toggled it off
2. Whomever installed Windows used a modified windows install ISO that installed Windows with that feature already off. (call them and ask)
3. During evaluation mode Windows determined that you were not a good candidate for Smart App Control and turned it off.
Since you were able to toggle it on, I'm betting it's 2 or 3.

You get ONLY one toggle, and you've used yours. You won't be able to toggle it off again unless you reset your PC or re-install Windows.

Another option, if you made an image after the clean install as is always advisable, you could restore it to get back to the toggled OFF state.

What do you mean made an image after the reinstall? Like if I do reset my PC then it will start it over again? I originally did a reset but I still had issues like my camera not working properly but everything works great after the new reinstall I just feel like after toggling that switch on it's a bit slower. Thank you friend for your help.
