Hi,

I’ve attached a 1-minute YouTube screen recording showing the issue in detail.

I use Personalization → Background → Slideshow with a folder called “Desktop Background” in my Pictures library. It has worked perfectly for a long time.

The slideshow is functioning normally — it cycles through my photos as expected.

However, since a recent Windows 11 update (I think), there’s a glitch:

As soon as I switch from Desktop 1 to Desktop 2 (Virtual Desktops), Windows immediately:

  • Stops the slideshow
  • Resets the wallpaper on BOTH desktops
  • Reverts to the default Windows 11 blue background image

Then I have to manually re-enable the slideshow again — and it breaks again the next time I switch desktops.

The video clearly demonstrates:

  1. Slideshow working normally
  2. Switching desktops
  3. Wallpaper instantly reverting to the default Windows 11 image

Has anyone experienced this or found a fix?

Thanks in advance.
