During the Microsoft Special Event, Microsoft announced Windows 11 version 23H2 will be available September 26, 2023 as a free update.

This will be an optional C update for Windows 11 version 22H2 coming September 26, 2023 at 10 AM CST / 12 PM CST. You will automatically get this update if you have Get the latest updates as soon as they're available turned on. If turned off, it'll be available as an optional update.

Windows 11 version 23H2 won't be available until October 2023 (Q4).

I suspect that everyone will have access to it on Sept 26th. As for unsupported devices the same rules will apply

This update doesn't get me too excited. The AI based assistant will be about as useful to be as Cortana was, which was not at all. The quality of life stuff, like native .rar support would have been kind of nice in 2003 or so. I wonder if they will ever make any substantive structural changes to Windows. It has felt stagnant for so long.

The Beta preview release is 23H2, so I would assume the 23H2 update in October will deal with that. However, the current Beta version may already have most of this stuff.

Am I the only one confused here? On September 26 we get an update that includes Copilot in preview form. On that update we get the modernized version of File Explorer and a bunch of other updates as well. But this is still 22H2.

So, if this is not 23H2, then what actually changes with 23H2 when it is released, presumably in October?

    The five 8TB drives and three 512GB SSDs are part of a DrivePool using StableBit DrivePool software. The three SSDs are devoted purely to caching for the 8TB drives. All of the important data is stored in triplicate so that I can withstand simultaneous failure of 2 disks.

No. It is not. The Sep 26 release is specifically noted as still being 22H2 with 23H2 coming later. Read post #1 of this thread.
