During the Microsoft Special Event, Microsoft announced Windows 11 version 23H2 will be available September 26, 2023 as a free update.

This will be an optional C update for Windows 11 version 22H2 coming September 26, 2023 at 10 AM CST / 12 PM CST. You will automatically get this update if you have Get the latest updates as soon as they're available turned on. If turned off, it'll be available as an optional update.

Windows 11 version 23H2 won't be available until October 2023 (Q4).

Yes, some of my machines have the Square Box, some have the Bell now. I guess I'll try the SEGOE Font refresh on the Square Box candidates.

Well, replacing SEGOE fonts freshly extracted from W11 install.wim does not resolve the SQUARE BOX instead of BELL issue.

You could try running then rebooting, and if it found something run a second time:

Anyone else see that copilot moves/resizes existing windows when it pops out. Shouldn't it be like widgets and pop over existing open windows instead of ruining my layout?

Same here however, the notifications ICON (Square Box or Bell) not going away when notifications are turned OFF is even more annoying.

I found disabling the notification center with REGEDIT removes it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer\DisableNotificationCenter

Change value 0 to 1

Copilot leaves parts of Edge running in the background when Copilot is closed. It's not obvious, not even in task manager, but it's there if you dig. Signing off and back on sets it all off. I noticed it when I ran CCleaner and it said that Edge needed to be closed to clean the cookies. I looked and Edge wasn't up.

Ending this one task killed all Edge processes and allowed Edge cleaning. I cannot find a setting anywhere having to do with Edge background tasks and Copilot. Copilot obviously is intertwined with Edge (surprise!).

This removes all notifications right? If so this is already covered in the settings and not the point
