If you have secure boot and the new CA 2023 certificates installed, then you may temporarily disable secure boot and test your PC if you still have the issue.

Alternatively, you may use iGPU, if your PC has it, see if crashes and visual gliches continue.

But as I understand from your post, you do not have these problems and you just wanted to let members know there are such issues after the April patch Tuesday update when CA 2023 certificates have accelerated distribution.

If upgrading to the latest drivers directly from nVidia and Intel doesn't help, you can uninstall the offending update and block it until there is a known workaround or there is a newer update rendering this one obsolete. To block updates you can use Microsoft Windows Update Show/Hide Tool or the third-party Windows Automatic Updates Manager (WAU Manager). Both are available at Major Geeks. Both scan for available updates and let you check the ones you want to hide (block). Of course you must block it before it is installed, or it won't be on the list.

Attempting to uninstall it failed via multiple times. And not gracefully, either. Reinstalling Windows also did not help, presumably the errant KB is embedded in the download, so my only hope is to find my USB from before and try to install from that and block the errant update before it hits.

That's why I keep a copy of the first version of each ISO I download. With today's fast internet speeds you can download the rest updates and catchup in a few minutes. No need to always download the latest ISO.
