?Windows 12.1?

I am currently running Windows 10 on my main laptop which has supported hardware and Windows 11 on my older Ivy Bridge as an unsupported hardware version. Now I came across this video on YouTube: and am really concerned that Microsoft is considering another new Windows build as Windows 12.1.
Can anyone tell me if this is true or is this a prank by some clever person to throw people into confusion? It seems odd to me that after all the fallout from the changes to Windows 11 they are really putting this out.

I easily understood it was just a design concept.
No swindle in the description of the video.

The next Windows edition number is always used for this kind of promotion.

Yes I guess you are right my friend the problem is that Microsoft is just raking in the money whenever they can and leaving probably a lot more dissatisfied customers in their wake. Personally, I am having a job to keep up with it all. It's a shame really I can see no benefit from so many quick changes and hope that cerebrus is right.

Fake or not, it's a nice piece of kit and I wish it was available.

All designs like UI's, features, and others in this concept belong to me (AR 4789) This is NOT an actual/real OS or software, this is just a concept, so there is no ISO for this OS.

Haven't seen a reference to Win12.1 but there is a section in the VIP area about Win12.

The answer to your question is answered at the end of the video. They state they are not affiliated with MS and that it's only a concept.

it's just a design concept, in the video description he has said :

I knew it was fake, but it was so well done that I watched it to the end.

"Thought experiments" or "concept videos" aside, MS is talking about returning to a three-year cadence for major versions. See, for example, this July 15 Windows Central story: Microsoft moves to new Windows development cycle with major release every three years, feature drops in between. Methinks a Windows 12 in the 2024-2025 timeframe is by no means impossible. This will be interesting to watch, and try to understand.

Whoever made the video put a lot of time and effort into it.

Nice mockup/conceptual design... that guy was probably schooled at Google.

It still boggles my mind that MS, the biggest tech company in the universe, still has that old Setup GUI in Win 11.

Yeah - on the Reddit Windows forums which I used to visit (gave up as too "toxic"), there was a whole subforum devoted to concept designs.

It was (imo) full of wannabes trying to get noticed by MS in hopes of a career.

Let's hope this forum does not get inundated with such dross.
