Windows 26H2: Gallery moved all pictures out of subfolders into D:\pictures

I plugged in my phone to copy some files. Windows brought up a window I had not seen before, asking me if I wanted to copy files to Gallery.

(I should have declined.)

It copied the pictures over, but it also moved all my organized pictures on my PC out of their subfolders and dropped them all into D:\pictures.

Over 10,000 pictures...
How can I move them back to the correct folders?

I did a search, and AI says Gallery is just a view and that all pictures remain in their subfolders, but when I check the subfolders, they are all empty.

@Memnon

Personally, I always remove all the Library folders.
But here's ten points for filling out your computer specs. :-)

And here's some other things that you may find useful...

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 15 years?
If possible, you can try to right click a picture file -> Properties, and figure out the exact location of where a certain picture, for example, has moved to. Yet I don't know how you can move certain pictures to certain folders back again, unless you manually do it. Maybe someone else has a better suggestion.
