Hi there,

Anyone know if it's possible to get (or make) a windows 11 boot disk. What I mean by this is a version of windows that can run from a USB stick to repair, format... well do anything windows can do but in a USB bootable (non installed) form. Preferably with oodles of useful tools on ?

I've been using Hiren's UBCD/Ultimate Boot CD, also has a method for creating a Bootable USB Thumb drive. My drive is 8GB but wouldn't hurt to be larger if wanting to save data to it. I used it just yesterday to Copy all the files from an internal drive to an External USB drive as a backup before cleaning corrupted profile.

That's what i used too, i suspect it's Bitdefender being overly protective, I'm beginning to hate it, especially as it's a pain to disable !

I could download it with Firefox and Bitdefender, no problem.
But the only BD modules I left enabled are, the AV, the Threat defense and the Firewall.
I have disabled everything else.

I scanned it and this popped up.

Yes that's what I got when I tried to flash it to USB, but BD does not like the download link either, i got round it by clicking on the mirrors and choosing a different one. It gives people from different parts of the world different download links, mine BD didn't like was blacklisted.

If you look at the download link it looks like https://www.hirensbootcd.org/files/HBCD_PE_x64.iso but then it morphs into https://mirrors.gethosted.online/hbcd/HBCD_PE_x64.iso when you click on the link, it's the second one BD does not like.

Then i opened the iso in 7zip (I love these freebies) and removed the offending program, then burnt the iso, that seemed to work !
