My PC is using fTPM (PTT) in place of a proper hardware TPM (my MOBO doesn't have a header)
If I use a Windows Hello PIN is the PIN stored similarly to how it would if I had a hardware TPM?
I would say yes as I can now see a TPM module in Device Manager but I wanted to be certain

It should be. In Windows 10 whenever I have disabled fTPM / left it disabled after a firmware update, I was asked to create a new PIN.

I've not actually tried in Win11 directly, but I assume it should be the same.
