Windows is showing time as +2hr from local time (no daylight saving time here)

Hi there
maybe it's because I installed Win 11 GB version but unlike Europe and UK there's no change to daylight saving here

Now I've got + 2hr from local time.

On a Linux laptop time is correct. Is it something perhaps with UTC or whatever that nonsense is that's hosing up windows.

The Windows BIOS time is OK on a windows laptop,

Everything was fine yesterday !!

What does future Jim say about it? Or past Jim if you’re future Jim? (because at this point I am confused) Are you still good looking 2 hours ahead? Current Jim obviously has no idea.

Seems it’s happened to someone else recently.

If you dual boot Windows and Linux or Windows and Mac OS this is a common issue because Windows calculate time zone differently than Linux or Mac OS. Every time you boot to Linux or Mac OS it "corrects" the time zone and affects the time in Windows. You have to set Linux or Mac OS to the Windows time system or set Windows time to UTC. I don't remember how to do it, Google it.

Because it's ingrained in me I set my time to 2 zones, local and UTC/GMT [had to work with UTC for more than 30 years]. I do find that booting to a Linux LiveUSB will change the BIOS time, usually to UTC and when back in Windows have to change back to local. And if desired the DST can be turned off in Windows' Adjust time and date, right-click of the Notification Area clock.



Edit: The Linux time I mentioned may actually be 1 hour East of UTC [memory is getting a bit flakey at times].

Same problem when dual booting Windows and Windows Insider. Windows time is +1, Insider time is +2. Seen this problem
