Windows restore point updates

I wonder if restore points getting deleted may have something to do with the new Point In Time recovery points. TBH, I have point in time disabled and don't really understand it. I was under the assumption that the disk space alloted to system restore and that used by PIT was different but I could be wrong. Hopefully someone who understand PIT can clarify if that could be the case.

i have PITR enabled and it looks like its using the same storage space as the older system restore
if you change how much space you want reserved in PITR then the space changes to the same amount in system restore
according to the settings in both system restore and PITR.

i also beleive the PITR overwrites the system restore saved points. PITR, if enabled, seems to take precedence over system restore, but am not yet certain if that is the case.

best of luck Steve ..

The tutorial says 24H2 and I cut off updates at 23H2 so it will not work on PC.
