This is more than likely a test image since he is on a Windows 11 Insider Preview build (beta, Dev, or canary) versus regular Windows 11 RTM.

Only a few settings here or there. But in terms of functionality, not really, but I only explored the differences on the surface, as I use the Preview as the default terminal on my system. The regular one is there only if a working command breaks in the preview - and thus far nothing has.

I also create additional entries for use in the drop down - such as duplicate entries but all with admin level privileges so I can quickly switch to an admin CLI as needed:

I knew his version wasn't the Preview. I've seen the Preview on GitHub. I just meant that I avoid previews when I can, so I will avoid this one (the available one). I'm a patient old man. Comes with age and a modicum of wisdom.

BTW, the notice on GitHub was to the effect that there were tons of bugs in the first trial balloon of 1.18, so I hope the one you got is a lot better than the original was. Good luck. ;-)

I've been using the Preview version for a while, helping test and report. It's definitely better than it was when it first came out, and in my experience, rock solid at this point.
