Windows Update Error- Intel-System- 10.1.39.8 Error 0x8007010

This driver is already installed, thus the error. How can I clear this update and subsequent error? See attached screenshots.

Thanks!

Error codes in this number range usually indicate one of two things:
1. Incompatibility between a recent device driver update and Windows itself
2. Incompatibility between a current device driver and a recent Windows update
In most cases, it's the latter. See this discussion of error code 0x80070103 for an illustration: Redirecting.
Usually means rolling back the MS update or finding and using a different driver.

Thanks Ed. I just got off chat with Microsoft support and they advised me to wait until the next patch comes out as this is the result of a faulty update.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Sep '23 - New Windows 11 Pro for Workstations system, same error. Windows Update Troubleshooter nothing, resetting Windows Update made no difference.

I am getting this exact error. Well, almost. My error code is "Install error - 0x80070103." The troubleshooter didn't help. My Dell Precision T7960 Workstation is less than a month old. Aside from the error, I'd like to know what "Intel - System - 10.1.39.8" refers to. Is it a driver? For what? Is it something else? Any help, or even just some explanation would be greatly appreciated!

It seems to be an Intel graphics driver: How to Resolve Error Code "0x80070103" When Updating...

I have a new HP Z4 G5 Workstation with a Xeon processor and a Nvidia graphic card and have the same error. The Xeon do not even have a GPU such as the i3/i5/i7/i9. So why the system is trying to install Intel GPU drivers is a mystey.

Thank you so much for the reply. My Dell T7960 also has a Xeon with Nvidia. Oddly, when I look at the Windows update history it shows this:
From WIndows Update History

So what did you ultimately do about the error? Did you resolve it with the instructions on the "How to Resolve" link you provided? Or just ignore the irrelevant error?

Appreciate your help and insight with this.

Microsoft is supposed to fix it with a patch, so for now i just ignore it and do not try to resolve it.

Sounds like a safe route, if not a little annoying. I will likely do the same. If anything notable happens I'll post here. Nice talking! Have a great day.
