Windows 11 version 24H2 build 26100.3476
I'm running Windows 11 and I have some system files missing at start up:

\Microsoft\Windows\Location\Notifications File not found: C:\WINDOWS\System32\LocationNotificationWindows.exe

\Microsoft\Windows\Mobile Broadband Accounts\MNO Metadata Pars File not found: C:\WINDOWS\System32\MbaeParserTask.exe

\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\MusUx_LogonUpdateResults File not found: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MusNotification.exe

\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\Reboot_AC File not found: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MusNotification.exe

\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\Reboot_Battery File not found: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MusNotification.exe

\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\USO_UxBroker File not found: C:\WINDOWS\system32\MusNotification.exe

I ran sfc /scannow and Windows Update Troubleshooter but the files are still missing. I don't know what to try next.

Those files wouldn’t/shouldn’t just mysteriously vanish.
What did you try or run?

I tried DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Didn't restore missing files.

Windows Update is up to date.

Thanks for the help.

Not sure if I want to do a windows install update. The only actual problem I am experiencing is start up doesn't work properly and I don't think that has anything to do with the files missing.

If the DISM and SFC commands didn't work, then your only option is to do an Restore
Press the Windows key +I in Settings click System/Recovery/Reset this PC/Keeping Files.

These are scheduled tasks. You can probably disable or delete them with Task Scheduler.

I can't find them in the Task Scheduler.

Most likely, it's a leftover task from W11 21H2.
MusNotification.exe appears on the 21H2 ISO and its last Monthly Update (KB5044280), but is gone from 22H2 and later ISO's.

In Task Scheduler, look for Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\MusUx_UpdateInterval

I've looked into it all a bit more.

\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\USO_UxBroker
File not found:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\MusNotification.exe

This does a reboot at 3am after updates so I don't want to disable it. I am going to try a Windows repair.
