In other words, us ordinary schmoes with home PCs are second-class citizens. Maybe that's why Microsoft tolerates sites like Stack Social selling low cost licenses. Because that is what they are worth.
As you will know, there are lot of significant changes being made in Enterprise level SKU's and platforms by MS currently. Some of these will possibly be ported over in some form to consumer platforms/products. I think some of the security changes currently available at Enterprise level will be ported over to consumers first.
