I successfully (?) installed my printer with one hiccup. It looks as though it got installed twice. See images. Also, what is OneNote? Do I need it? Also, should I let
windows manage my default printer. Sorry for random placement of images. Couldn't get them next to each other.

No, you don't need OneNote. But you might play with it a bit and see whether it would be useful to have. If not, dump it.



Click Start, type printers, Open App, and scroll down to printers. Then, set Default by right-clicking. Or, in Settings,

OK great. All understood. Last one about Windows managing default printer. No do not want that and set my Canon as default.

Enough. If you need an electronic note pad, or just can't find a pen when you want one, it might be valuable. I use note pads and pens around the house, and for shopping lists, addresses, books-to-get, phone numbers, etc., I use Google Keep, and it's a joy at the grocery store and elsewhere when I'm in town. Doesn't have to be installed, either.

If you have info you want to have access to wherever you may be on whichever device you happen to have with you then OneNote is a godsend. You can create, amend and delete notes on any of your devices and it will sync with all of the others. Personally I wouldn't be without it.

Keep does all that, but it's much less capable than OneNote. Depends on what you want.
