Word document prints only picture not text

Hi
I recently updated to Windows 11 and have been able to successfully print off Word documents on my Brother printer but last week it started to print only the part of a document where I had pasted a snippet (i.e a picture) and not the text that I had written below. Can anyone tell me how to configure Windows 11 so that it prints the whole document. (When I click on print a view of the document comes up which includes both the snippet and the text- it's only when I print it off that the text is missing).

Does it print no text at all? If so, make sure that Hidden is unchecked in Font settings

And/or turn on Print hidden text in Printing Options

Thankyou so much for your help.The Font was okay (it was not checked).I also checked Print Hidden text in the options and it still didn't do it print the text. But thankyou so much for trying to help.

One thing I've noted is some older printers that come with the USB cable only work properly when using a USB 2 port on the computer but give problems with the USB 3 ports. Some of the errors I remember when plugged into USB 3 was printing only a portion of a page then losing the connection with failure to complete. But then nothing is showing in your My Computer about the hardware.

What happens if you chose to Print to pdf?

Hi A Guy and Berton. Latest update. I tried to print as a pdf. but still only prints the snippet and not my text. HOWEVER last night sent the document to my daughter and got her to print it out on her printer and with her it printed out the whole thing - i.e snippet plus text. I forgot to say I have a Brother Printer MFC-J6920DW (from 2016) which is of course through wifi - I think it did come with a cable for the USB port but unfortunately I seem to have lost it so at the moment i can't forgo the wifi connection and just print connecting my laptop to the printer.

I don't know what the best solution might be but, if I was in your position, my next step would be to reinstall the printing software package from Brother.
- I would work through all the printer properties looking for a relevant setting first but I imagine you've already done that so I won't even mention it.

Since print to pdf has the same issue, I'd think the physical printer wouldn't be the issue. Just to confirm, no documents with pictures print text or only this one particular word document?

This indicates that something in your Word settings is causing the issue. I suggest taking a look at the Print area part of Word to see if you may have inadvertently caused that to only print the one area of the snippet.

Just to be sure, though, when you use the print dialog, you do not have it set to print selection under Settings, right?
