Much nicer menu system and theme (Lunar Black) , no probs with Firefox esr and still can access shared NAS folder for a 14 TB disk (not even thought of disks that size when XP was around).
Anyway it's still possible to run these sorts of OS'es as VM's if you want to -- I've also got a few apps on them that I still use regularly. The legacy hardware is just too costly to replace (Vinyl studio disc cutter etc) especially now vinyl blanks are easy to source for making people customised vinyls from their own music.
and a tiny use of CPU on a Host - barely noticeable
