Just noticed that playing YouTube imposes this icon on address bar in Edge,

I use Edge and YouTube and have never seen that icon in either the stable version or the Dev version. Of course, you're on Canary, so it might be something they're toying with.

I'm on Version 137.0.3296.93 (Official build) (64-bit) Edge. It's YT that puts it on the toolbar I believe?

It's not a YouTube thing - it's an Edge thing that appears on every webpage when you're playing media. You can control your media by clicking in it. There are various hacks available if it's annoying you and you want it gone.

Strange. I don't see that icon even when I'm on YouTube or have other media playing through the browser. Not that I mind. Just thought I'd convey my lack of the icon.
