Zip folder won't delete?

Has anyone else experienced this? I delete a zip folder, and it disappears for a second then comes back. The contents of the zip are gone, but the zip folder itself is still there, just empty. I have to do Shift+del to make it go away.

I haven't tried rebooting because I'm in the middle of a Zoom meeting, but wanted to ask in case it's a known issue and/or has a solution.

I've never had that happen. Reboot once you're finished with your meeting. It might solve the issue.

I've very occasionally witnessed this happen on Windows 10 systems, typically a reboot would usually resolve the problem. I believe the issue occurs because there is still an open file handle on that .zip folder so the contents are removed but the .zip itself remains.

Rebooted, issue persists. Every zip file behaves the same way, and only zips. All other files or folders will delete just fine.

I would check disk for errors execute Chkdsk C: /f command from command prompt.

It's odd that the error is persisting across a reboot as well. I would check to see if there is any open handles to one of the folders using Process Explorer. You should then able to filter the handles to a particular file.

I didn't see anything wrong that I know of. Never used Process Explorer before, and from what I could learn about using it I don't see anything that looks off. No mention of any zips, and the help file talks about using the context menu to check out Handles, but I didn't see anything like that in the context menus. So I dunno...
